When we were in Rome, on August 30, I took a few pictures of the Man in his natural habitat.
Immediately above you have a general view of the lair, to the right and left of the Man you have the goddess and the god protecting the place and at the top, a very nice medallion over the central door reminds one of antique villas.
I thought this collage would prove, should any doubts still linger, that Man is Roma.

Ah, you created a beautiful collage of our Man of Roma.
RépondreSupprimerThank you Rosaria. Much of the merit belongs to Picasa3.
RépondreSupprimerSuch delightful photography, Paul. C'est très bien!
RépondreSupprimerI always like to see people in their natural habitats. With his desk and books, a man to be envied. Certainment.
The room is full of books and when you see that you understand how hard he works to produce his historical blog and his Manius's historic fiction.
RépondreSupprimerAh man, so it seems that almost at the same time when I publish photos on you (today’s post over at the MoR), you publish photos on me. There must be some type of weird communication between us. A very nice collage. “The Man in his natural habitat”: you have summed me up. Je suis an homme sauvage more than one can think ;)
RépondreSupprimerNice pictures over at your place. "Sauvage" means untouched, still pristine, it is not shying away from people which you do not.
RépondreSupprimerBut at times I like solitude, like in these days, and I wrote a few posts on this topic. It usually happens, need of solitude, after we've had a great heat, I wonder why. Flavia is more of an extrovert. I thank you very much for your cadeau, Paul. You are a wonderful person and you have a wonderful family.
RépondreSupprimerI miei più cari saluti a Teresa e al resto del clan dei Costos.
On another note I want to try Picasa. It seems capable of doing many things.
Try it, Giovanni, it's free and i'm sure that you will like it.
RépondreSupprimerI will Paul. I already use Google Office (=Docs) where I write all my notes since months (so I have them not matter the PC I am at). I still prefer Wordpress to Blogspot but for the rest all Google products are excellent. Altho I don't think they will be free forever.
RépondreSupprimerForever? Maybe not, but while it lasts, let's enjoy it.
RépondreSupprimerah what do i see but the Man of Roma Himself.
RépondreSupprimeri just noticed that i can read your blog again? there is a google translate button on the bottom.
oh and someone through blog introduced me to philippe...
was i the last to meet online and the first to meet in person? am i brave or stupid?
soon we hope to be lucky enough to meet Roma also!
Dafna
Dafna, I have asked before but I will ask again: when will you have your blog? Jacob seems to be doing fine on his.
RépondreSupprimerPaul, if I had a blog it would be treated somewhat like facebook.
RépondreSupprimerExample; "I have a recipe that calls for seven pounds of chicken and twenty cloves of garlic and I'm a terrible cook...God help me."
who wants to hear that?
Maybe someone who is familiar with that recipe. Who knows?
RépondreSupprimerwonderful collage of a fascinating life! your photos portray a man of roma, and one of a goddess as well....
RépondreSupprimerYes, if I remember well, the goddess is Venus and the male, on the right hand side, is Hermes, MoR could set the record straight.
RépondreSupprimerHi Paul,
RépondreSupprimerYour blog posts are not coming into my Google Reader for some odd reason, so I am late to the party here.
Lovely photos. So pleased to see Man of Roma's library looking like ours.
And dafna, I'd love that recipe.
You mean Google has quirks? Unbelievable!
RépondreSupprimer@Paul
RépondreSupprimerI think the one on the photo is Athena, but yes, at the other end of the terrace, there is Venus too, so I guess there's some balance.
Thanks to you and to everybody!
I'm trapped in a blog-jam at the moment by the way.
RépondreSupprimerGiovanni, if you enlarge the photo enough, your Athena seems to have a penis???
RépondreSupprimerTrue, Paul, it has a penis.
RépondreSupprimerBut that is the higher, top terrace, which belongs to the condominium. I was referring to the other side of our terrace, where, at the right side we have Athena (the right side, not by chance lol) while at the left side we have a shameless Venus.
OK, I took, then, the upper level instead of the right hand side of your terrace. My mistake and sorry for missing Athena.
