Crazy weather

Last week we were basking in warm sun and even barbecuing.  The trees blossomed, the flowers came out as the tulips below can attest.
This morning we wake up to snow.

As the old song goes: "Oh well! What can I do!"

  1. OH NO! We are having a series of squalls, drowning everything and everyone. Soon, though, it will be summer and we'll complain about the drought.

    Stay warm.

  2. Thank you, fortunately we do have a comfortable home. Weather seems out of whack all over the continent. They say El Nino is the culprit...poor baby.

  3. That's the problem with you people who left the Mediterranean. Here the weather is boring and predictable (more or less: it is raining now). Was it a big loss for you people to move from the Med? Possibly not guys. Possibly not.

  4. They say Nordic people are blessed with the virtue of hope. Even in the bleakest weather, there is always the hope that it will get warmer or cooler or more colorful, etc, etc.

  5. Well, at least you didn't get our snow! And rain, and rain, and more snow.

  6. You are quite right and I understand that your foothills are still getting it.
Some years back on our way to Burnaby via Calgary and Lake Louise we drove a new road on the crests, very spectacular and very sunny. It was mid-july and suddenly a thick grey cloud and blinding snow. I was about to stop when it stopped as abruptly as it had started.
